Essays 4 Equiptment

How does E4E work?

The Garden State Track Club, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, collects new and gently used equipment for high school runners. These resources are distributed to youth who write three paragraph essays requesting them. Decisions are based on need, quality of essay, and availability of resources.

What do I do as a student-athlete?

You have two options: you can email the essay ([email protected]) or mail it (106 Bayard #4, New Brunswick NJ 08901). You should describe yourself, your team, your school, and your coaches, along with explaining the equipment you need. Be persuasive- convince us you are deserving of this! It may help to meet with your English teacher when crafting your essay.

What do I do as a coach or athletic director?

Inform your student-athletes about this program and encourage them to meet with their English teachers when drafting their essay. Please be advised that we only accept essays from the youth themselves.

Join the RRCA-NJ and run to help families and communities devastated by Hurricane Sandy. This year-long series of nine races have been selected based on their commitment to pledge money (per finisher) to the Jersey Coast Chapter of the Red Cross. Together, a unified running community can make a big difference! Upon completion of six races, you will be awarded the commemorative “I Ran to Restore the Shore” over-sized medal. There are also team and individual categories for participation, fund-raising, and performance!
